Absatz – Dominus – Goldfisch II
In 1965, Abundance became the first Hanoverian stallion imported into the United States. He was purchased as a weanling by Al Steiert and stood at Watermark Farm during the 1970’s. At Watermark, Abundance was bred to high quality thoroughbred mares and produced a number of talented performance horses. A number of of these offspring won at international three day events, and competed in dressage and show jumping at the highest levels. Abundance was also the sire of the renowned Hunter Hall of Fame horse Ruxton.
Abundance had a very successful performance career. He competed through preliminary eventing, FEI dressage, and show jumped competitively. He received the distinction of Hanoverian Stallion of the Year several times and is still listed among the USEF Top Eventing Sires.
